Terms & Conditions

 

Student Conduct:

-Students are expected to maintain appropriate classroom behavior that allows instructors and

staff to perform their duties efficiently.

-Students are expected to conduct themselves respectfully, considering the rights of others, both in the

classroom and at the shooting range, as well as during any training activities.

-Any student who fails to follow these expectations will be warned and reminded of the guidelines.

-Continued inappropriate behavior may result in dismissal from the class without a refund.

-Disruptive conduct that interferes with the class, violates others' rights, threatens the health and safety

of students, staff, or visitors, or violates the student code of conduct will lead to the student being asked to leave. In such cases, no refund will be issued.

 

Safety Policy:

-At Sentinel Training Academy, safety is our top priority, particularly on relating to shooting / firearm

based activities. 

-We reserve the right to remove anyone from the range or classroom who is not adhering to safety rules

or behaving in a disruptive manner.

-This includes individuals under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any controlled substances. 

-Students must sign a waiver of liability before attending class and certify in writing that they are not

prohibited from handling firearms.

-For classroom training, we use simulation (dummy) ammunition for exercises like loading and unloading.

-Students who bring firearms will be required to leave them in their vehicles or in a secure safe provided by

the instructor until after class.

-No live ammunition is allowed in the classroom for firearms training, and no firearms are permitted in

reloading classes, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

-Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

-Sentinel Training Academy is not and will not be responsible for minors, and if a minor needs to be

removed from the class, a parent or guardian must be available. Since minors cannot legally sign the waiver, a parent or guardian must also sign on their behalf.

 

Courses, Tests, and Passing Grades:

-All courses are objective-based, and students must demonstrate the necessary knowledge, skills, and

attitude required for successful completion.

-Attitude is especially important in successfully completing the class.

-Some classes may have prerequisites or qualifications that must be met in advance.

-Please contact us if you're unsure about your eligibility.

-Payment for a course does not guarantee successful completion.

-The payment provides an opportunity to complete the course; passing is based on meeting the course

requirements.

 

Prohibited Persons:

Under federal law, Sentinel Training Academy cannot train individuals who:

 

Are convicted felons without annulment or pardon

Are under indictment or convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment for over one year

Are fugitives from justice

Use or are addicted to unlawful controlled substances

Have been adjudicated as mentally defective or committed to a mental institution

Are illegal aliens

Have been dishonorably discharged from the military

Have renounced U.S. citizenship

Are subject to court orders restricting them from harassing, stalking, or threatening a partner or child

Have been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence

Are under the influence of substances that may impair safe firearm handling

 

Due to ITAR regulations (Section 120.9), The Sentinel Training Academy cannot assist foreign nationals in training, unless they have written approval from the U.S. State Department or hold permanent residency status and do not work for a foreign company.

 

Payment Options:

Payment for classes at Sentinel Training Academy can be made via credit card, PayPal, or other available options. Some courses may require a deposit. For security reasons, no credit card information is stored on the website. Final payments are due on or before the first day of class. Partial payments can be made in person by cash, credit/debit card, or PayPal.

 

Nondiscrimination & Title IX Grievance Procedure:

Any complaints should first be addressed to the instructor. If unresolved, the complaint should be submitted via Sentineltrainingacademy@gmail.com

 

The responsible party will investigate the complaint, provide findings, and recommend remediation within five (5) business days. A report will be sent via email to maintain a record of all grievances.

Sentinel Training Academy does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, age, sex, or disability in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination Act of 1967, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Education for All Handicapped Children Act of 1975.
